What was the highlight of The Fern Seaside Luxurious Tent Resort Diu
Stay was ok due to good location . We had to do all the work regarding getting around, sight seeing anc food
Location
I got several threatening massesges about cancellation as they can not process foreign card and started them even a week before. It was stressful. Shuttle bus was advertised on website and were told we have to arrange and that taxi charged reiduculous amount of money for 4 km drive . No one gave any information about your / restaurants probably they were asked by management for sake of their own very expansive restauarant . Phone call in the room at odd time to to see if our stay was ok and about evening tea, which could have been too by reception staff . Staff at reception were very masked face and not welcoming until my husband stared making fuss then senior person arrived with some hospitality . Overall it wants good experience from reputable chain . It spores that all they cared about Money

What we expected to be a wuiet and peaceful stay by the sea was marred by private birthday and marriage functions
The sea frontage was good and the rooms were spacious.
We were not told that the water supply was salty water and not safe. We were not contacted prior to arrival that there were private events that meant there would be loud blaring music till 11PM. The property had my email and could have let us know. Because of the private event we were initially told we could not use the restaurant and there was no offer made to drive us to a restaurant instead. I had to make a complaint and the manager instructed the restaurant to allow us. The lady managing the register at the restaurant was rude and arrogant. There were items on the menu which were just not available for the entirety of my stay - Rasamalai, which is a crowd favourite. The Gulab jamuns were small and like those from a can. All other staff were very polite, respectful and helpful. On the day of check out I rang and asked for someone to come for the luggage. No one came. Access to the beach was not easy. One has to walk quite a distance to get to the gate. Since the frontage to the beach is quite broad and spread out, there could be gates at other points to make it easier. People were climbing over the fence as a short cut, which would be impossible for the elderly.

Gym and club house timings must be changed , atleast till 9 pm Whole day , a person travels and do sight seeing in Diu and after that only he comes to resort and relax , so at that time he can avail club house activities.

Good
Overall property is good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tent quality and interior is good. Breakfast buffet has variety.
When we checked in, the tent was not clean. On request they did the cleaning. In house restaurant O Gusto does not serve any mocktail or Cocktail. (When asked they told us that Bar tender is on leave). Bar was closed. Ala carte Menu served at dinner is not up to the mark. Overall this is not as good as level of other Fern hotels. Not value for money. When we book Fern, we have certain expectations but Fern Diu does not meet the same..
